THE PACK HORSE INN
Crowdecote, Buxton.
ABOUT US
A family run, traditional country pub; set amidst the tranquillity of the Upper Dove Valley in the Peak District National Park. We offer a warm welcome to all, including dogs who will find free treats at the bar.
Kris and Hannah welcome you to their family run, traditional public house. The pub has numerous seating areas all hosting traditional features such as inviting log burners; the perfect place to relax and warm up after a long walk in the breath taking surroundings. The outside of the pub also offers parking to the front and side for patrons, with an expansive beer garden to the rear with many benches and some undercover seating allowing you to take in the outstanding views across the valley.

This Public House dates back to the 16th Century, when it served as a stop off point from the packhorse trail from Newcastle Under Lyme to Hassop, near Bakewell. Keeping this history in mind we have kept the pub time honoured, from the conventional decor, to the traditional food we serve, and range of local ales we have to offer.

We hope to see you very soon so we can share what we believe to be a beautiful hidden gem.
OUR MENU
Here at the Pack Horse Inn we endeavour to purchase produce locally when possible in an aim to minimise food miles in order to ensure freshness and to reduce our carbon footprint, all whilst supporting our local community. This provides us with high quality ingredients which we cook in house to produce a traditional pub menu.
